Convex™ Pro-Patch™ is the new Strong yet flexible 12 mil vinyl for patches and seats.

Pro-Patch™ with matching laminates provides a way for companies with digital printing capabilities to make custom graphics that are sealed and protected from the elements. Once printed, you can sew Pro-Patch™ into garments, bags or other textiles for advertising, sponsorship, or identification.

How to produce graphics using the matched component materials:
Pro-Patch™ is printed on in reverse (wrong reading). Once it is printed on, it is laminated with 4 or 8 mil white Convex™ laminate (see illustration at the bottom of the page). The white laminate saves you from having to flood coat white. And it seals your graphics from the elements and provides protection from abrasion. After lamination, the graphics can be placed in a cutter for die cutting. Use the GERBER enVision™ 375 plotter, Roland, Mimaki, or other vinyl cutter. Once your Pro-Patch™ is cut it is ready to be sewn. Just peel it off the liner (shown below) for a flexible non-adhesive patch.

The 4 mil Convex™ laminate is satisfactory for most applications. However, if greater opacity, thickness, or abrasion resistance is desired, 8 mil Convex™ white laminate is recommended.

Why use Convex™ instead of a generic brand white vinyl laminate?
Number one of course, because it works. We can't guarantee the performance of other laminates and adhesives on Pro-Patch™. Many adhesives do not have staying power with Pro-Patch™.

Do we have an adhesive for Pro-Patch™?
Yes we do. Our High-Bond adhesive is available for those of you who want to reverse print on Pro-Patch™ and apply adhesive to it.

Don't have a laminator? Let us recommend one.
Yes you can laminate by hand, but it gets old fast.

Workhorse
This laminator can run cold, hot, or heat assisted laminates.

Econocraft and Econocraft Jr.
Both the Econocraft and the Jr. are great for applying application tape. The Jr. is a lighter duty laminator for the more budget minded shop.

While developing this product, we took it to some local area vinyl seat/upholstery shops. They were wowed by the materials and custom graphic capabilities of thermal and solvent based digital printers. We suggest you do the same if you want to find out more about seat applications and possibly land some nice accounts.
