The line graph to the right shows how much yellow and cyan will fade over a 5 year period without Tuff Cover. The "key" (in green) shows Yellow (without Tuff Cover) VS. Yellow with Tuff Cover (Yellow w/TC). Four color process thermal transfer foils for the Gerber Edge were used for testing. Several test panels were printed. Then the right column of each test panel was laminated with Tuff-Cover. The left column of each panel was left exposed without any laminate. Each test panel was misted with water twice per day to emulate a tropical environment. The Cyan is almost as dramatic as the Yellow. Yellow is the quickest to fade from the beginning of the exposure. The Cyan did OK up until year 4 and then it took a nose dive. We also have chemical test data and another four years for UV data. On the 9 year test panel, the left column of color swatches is virtually gone and the right column is still intact with about 70% of the color and the Tuff Cover laminate shows no wear.
